Traveling Valve
One of two valves in a sucker rod pumping system. Travelling valve moves with movement of sucker rod string. On upstroke, ball member of valve is seated, supporting fluid load. On downstroke, ball is unseated, allowing fluid to enter production column. Compare standing valve.
